Google sued for 'crimes against humanity' | The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/09/20/google_sued_for_crimes_against_humanity_handwritte n_suit_five_billion/)

A Pennsylvania crusader has slapped Google with a $5bn lawsuit, claiming that the world's largest search engine is endangering his personal safety.

With a suit filed in federal court, Dylan Stephen Jayne insists that the company is guilty of "crimes against humanity" because its name turns up when his social security number is scrambled and turned upside down.

After much study, The Reg can confirm that Jayne's tax payer ID can be juggled to reveal the word Google - if you use your imagination. But we have elected not to publish the number. For obvious reasons.

There's no words to describe this stupidity, but have a look at the court information here (Jayne v. Google Internet Search Engine Founders - 3:2007cv01677 - Justia Federal District Court Filings and Dockets (http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-pamdce/case_no-3:2007cv01677/case_id-69169/))
Especially his particulars of claim (http://casedocs.justia.com/pennsylvania/pamdce/3:2007cv01677/69169/1/0.pdf)

Interesting... I googled "Dylan Stephen Jayne vs google lawsuit" and found several results. One article stated that he is an elderly lawyer and another one on techcrunch.com had this:
"Dylan lodged eight filings with the court, including an accusation that the Philadelphia 76ers play a key role in the code to unscramble his social security number to spell Google."

This won't go anywhere... everybody knows a social security number has 9 digits, GOOGLE is only 6 letters so they don't match up... however when I turn my social security number upside down and scramble it I come up with MICROSOFT.
... insert manical laugh...

If you look at his filing, I suspect he is a jailhouse lawyer. The case obviously has no merit and the amount is ridiculous since no damages can be proven.

All the defendants have to do is asked thet it be dismissed as having no merit.

The extraordinary acts of stupidity have risen to new lows.

I guess this applies to this goof as well...

How about the guy (in Texas, I think it was) that recently filed a law suit against God, seeking injunctions to stop the fire and brimstone... Gives a new meaning to Holy Crap!!

It was an agnostic senator from Nebraska, and God responded...

I realize he was simply trying to point out the on-going bevy of frivolous law suits, but even still, his case will be heard and will be tying up the same court system, furthering the mockery, in my opinion.

Is this serious? His handwriting makes me laugh like crazy!

I'm especially fond of numbers 11 and 13 here (http://casedocs.justia.com/pennsylvania/pamdce/3:2007cv01677/69169/1/0.pdf)

Cheers Curlyben, just brightened up my day! Ha ha ha!

I agree, he's wasting taxpayer money... I hope he enjoyed his 15 minutes of fame.
I did like the response from God though... especially the part that says the court has no jurisdiction over Him. :D
