There was a bad thunderstorm and a pole was hit by lighting and our lights went out I was in my room watching TV and my kids where in the living room watching TV when the lights came back on the TV in the room would not come back on we unpluged it and pluged it back on when we try to turn it on you can here it click but no sound or picture and the TV in the living room comes on but you have to unplug it to turn it off and plug it in to turn it on and you can't turn the channels or turn the volume up or down what could be the problem and will they be worth fixing or would it be cheaper to buy new ones   :o

AgTaylor78:::< Talk to your home insurance man, Most policys willcover this less your deductable, Tell him that this was an act of god, may be no deductable. Lighting can do some funny things. What it done to you was came in through the electrical . There is a unit that you can buy that goes inside your panel box, its called ( lighting arrestor) does!nt cost very much ,Get a electrician to install it. A few dollars may save your home AND FAMILY::: GOPOD LUCK .:: OH I always got them at a electrical supply place.
