A skier is going 8.2 m/s when she falls and starts sliding down the ski run. After 3 s, her velocity is 3.1 m/s. How long after she fell did she finally come to a stop?

A man wants to test a rope. He ties one end to a telephone pole and the other to a horse. The horse pulls as hard as it can and the rope nearly breaks but the horse is not quite strong enough to break the rope. The man replaces the telephone pole with second horse of wqual strength. Assume the two horses pull in oppsite directions as hardas they can will the rope break now

Nope, 20 m, 2sf. But the duration as asked by the question is 4.8 s.
