One day I was driving my car to the bank aprox 1 mile away and half way there my car wouldn't let the engine rev past 4000rpm ( the revlimiter is normally 7000rpm ) the car was just acking like it couldn't go and had no power. So I baby it to the bank. Once I come out of the bank the car won't start


After getting it towed and checking what check engine light code my car is giving me it ends up being code 21 which is VTEC spool solenoid valve


Would this problem stop my car from starting or is there more wrong with the car than just the vtec solenoid



My car has the stock d16z6 vtec engine

Some limiters prevent the engine from going over 4,000 rpm, if the engine is low on oil. Was your's low on oil?

No the oil is fine but my new solenoid should be here today so I suppose that ill find out if that is the problem
