My husband and I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and have been trying for about 5 months now to get pregnant again with no luck. Every month I eagerly wait to see a little PLUS on the test, and it is never there. Although we were not TRYING to get pregnant with our first child, we weren't NOT trying, so we were kind of just leaving it to chance. I guess I was off birth control for about a year when I got pregnant, but honestly my husband and I weren't really having sex a lot during that time due to a lot of life stresses. It never crossed my mind that it might take a while when we were ACTUALLY TRYING. After I got my period back (once I stopped breastfeeding), about a year or so ago, I had a lot of brown discharge on and off and very abnormal periods (every 2 weeks or so). I went to the doctor about it and he did a vaginal ultrasound (horribly uncomfortable). He mentioned that if it was really a problem I could get a D and C to clear everything out. I decided it wasn't worth it and since then I only get the brown discharge about 2-3 days before each period. I'm wondering if this brown discharge is a factor in my not getting pregnant now, and if I should actually go in and get the D and C done to better my chances at getting pregnant? Would that help?
