I had to dump my boy friend as he was not loyal to me.
There were a number of other problems that I was facing..
This is close to a year now!!
I have had no physical illness after the breakup, till date.
Does this mean, I am safe from any STDs? Please advice.

Some STD's lie dormat in your body and symptoms may not appear for several years. If he cheated on you, it would be wise to have a check up with your doctor.

Folks: I got my total health check up done today!
Among other tests, Fasting Blood Sugar, Blood Grouping and Rh typing , Post Prandial Blood Sugar,Blood Urea Nitrogen, Triglycerides was done too..
Further to which the doctor said I was healthy and had no issues with the health conditions. She also mentioned that hemoglobin level was very good. Further to enquiring on any infections in the blood, she denied.
I did not make any particular mention of STDs. She sent me with a green flag...
Shd I go for any particular check? Should I still suspect about any diseases?

The tests you had were typical normal tests that most every doctor does. You need to ask for specific STD tests. They will not order these tests unless you are symptomatic or you ask for them.
If you were cheated on, you should get checked. As stated above, many STDs can lie dormant in your system for years with not outward signs or symptoms of infection. One in particular, if not caught early, can cause permanent brain damage.
If you find that you do have an STD, it's nothing you did wrong. He cheated on you, not the other way around.

Those tests are typical workups that doctors will give anyone. You do have to specifically ask for an STD test.
Don't be ashamed to do it. You did nothing wrong here, you only need to protect your health. Doctors are used to this sort of thing... they won't judge you.

It will be all right. Science is making a lot of jumps in our society as far as cures are concerned or at least keeping them at bay. I was raped a while back and when I was a child. I have a lot of trouble emotionally but thank the Lord to date no STD's. I read or was told it can sometimes take a few years to pop out. So I would keep going once a year or every other year and get checked so that you can keep updating yourself. But realize that you are still of value. It is not your fault that your fiancé cheated. Men are like that. Sometimes I can't stand it. But after you have your moment of tears and heartache then you can learn and move on. And say you're definitely better than that. Good luck to you and you'll stay in my prayers.
