Unless your lease states you can, then no. I would talk to your landlord and see what can be arranged. Aren't you going to have some disability pmts?

Basically read your lease, I doubt that it does, but who knows.
Also as noted, some landlords are nice people, and if you have proff ofyour surgery and not working, some landlords are really nice and will work with you.
