My two bathrooms have very different stem types. On one, the water drips while the water is on. I want to change the stem, but it is something I have never seen. It is a stem that cannot unscrew. It is mounted to the pipe. What I see is the stem coming out of the wall. I see the screw threads for the silver handle sleave, and a nut on the end of that. I know there is a washer in there somewhere, but I am scared to unscrew it. It is like nothing I have seen before, and I do not want to tear down the whole wall to fix that when I know thet it I just a washer somewhere. Have you come across anything like this? Why would the two bathrooms be so different ? Just to give me a hard time, I guess!
