There is a 1980s or early 90s move about a little person or leprechaun who gets lost in the woods. These two children find him and hide him from their parents plus throughout the movie he is trying not to lose his gold dust. He sings " It's raining, it's pouring"... in the movie. He then finds his rainbow in the end. Can you give me the title?? :) :)

Does it involve a land on the other side of the rainbow, with butterfly people and a dog person that chases car headlights and a big blob thing called smorg or something that swallows people and puffs out gold dust?? This film has been driving me crazy for 10 years! I don't know the name but I'm desperate to find it

It sounds like the one I am looking for but the leprechaun in lost in the woods at the beginning of the movie and he seeks to find his rainbow. He does find it but he finds it at the end of the movie and I believe the children go with him maybe?? It has been so long since I have seen it.

I am looking for this same movie and I cannot find it! I've looked all over the internet and the closest I have come is to this site with your posts. The movie is about 2 children who find a leprechaun in the woods. They hide him from their family in like a barn or something with hay. He also has gold dust and he is looking for his rainbow.they have a dog I think. Oh and when the leprechaun drinks soda he floats up in the air and he burps to come down. What the heck is this movie?? I'm going crazy.

It's called the Great Land of Small (1987). I went on this same crusade about 3 years ago and was able to buy it on VHS off Amazon. Interesting fact: made in Canada.

The original question was from 2005!

Also, the question was answered, around a dozen times.

Read past posts, also don't post on old threads, especially since nothing new was added.

Geesh. :(

Closed, I wonder why out of the 10's of thousands of threads a new poster finds a 4 year old post to answer
