I just started cutting the grass and the mower just stopped. I charged the battery overnight and checked it with a multi meter and it read 10 volts. The mower will not turn over, click or anything. It has a Kohler Pro 18hp engine. Any ideas, I am stumped.

If you only have 10 volts after charging, you need a battery it sounds like to me. A voltmeter is a good tool to find out the current amount of volts available to a battery without a load on it. Have your battery tested with a load tester, and I believe you will find that you need a new battery. Also, purchase a battery with at least 300 CCA.

It did. It was a bad battery. I would have never thought that a bad battery would stop and already running machine. Thanks Again.
