1995 Honda Civic was starting and running fine. I changed spark plugs, but inadvertently left one plug wire unhooked on top of engine. I started the car. It ran for a few seconds then shut down. Now it won't start again. It cranks, but won't start. I've checked fuses, but all are okay. Did I short out some system component?

. Did you check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter?
. Check for spark at each plug.
. Does the Check Engine Light come on and go off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON?
. During this 2 second interval, do you hear the fuel pump run?
. Do you hear the main relay click?
If all of the above checks out, I would remove the Ignition Control Module and coil from the distributor and have them tested for free at AutoZone. It's easy to ruin a coil from what you did.

The problem turned out to be the ignition coil. The advice provided by txgreasemonkey was right on. Thank you VERY much. This saved my much time and frustration. :)
