I have a two yr old son, and his father is in and out of jail, and was in prison my entire pregnancy and was released when my son was six months old. My sons father doesn't help with our son, when I call and ask for money or help, his girlfriend answers and tells me how I need to speak to him, then hangs up. He has'nt seed our son in 3mo. And I only live fifteen minutes away from him. How would I go about getting his rights revoked from him. Darrell has a warrant out for his arrest right now, and I know he will be back in prison soon, I don't want my son knowing him, and trying to follow in his footsteps...

Getting rights terminated is a difficult process. I would simply make sure you have Full and Sole Custody and he doesn't have any visitation. But I think you are wrong about not wanting your son knowing him. At some point he will find out. I would wait until he's old enough to understand (8-10) and explain it to him and present the dad as someone not to be emulated.

Trying to get his rights completely revoked is a losing battle, even given his history. You only option for that to happen is if someone else adopts your son, with the father's consent.
