My husband was sentenced today for 10 days for a bench warrant from a previous dui that he never took care of. He was arrested wed 9-5-07. My question is do you think he will serve the whole 10 days or be released earlier I keep getting the run around from the jail that he is in.

I think that might depend on what state he is in. In my state, he'd only have to serve 5 days if he is good.

He may but could also get out on bail.. Did he go to court yet?

I had the same issue he will definitely serve the whole ten days. He might serve more depending on the judge.

If he was sentenced to 10 days then he's obviously been to court and convicted. Since 10 days is not a long sentence in the overall grand scheme of things, I imagine he'll serve the entire 10 days. I think you'd be hard-pressed to get an early release after only 5 days or so.

In the courts where I used to work, on a sentence, you can't be bailed out.
And on sentences like 10 days you normally do the full days. I do understand some places let you out sooner. But with that 10 days is a very short time.
