Have sex! Okay, so there is a bit more to it than that... You need to figure out when you are ovulating. Typically you ovulate 12-14 days before your next expected period, but everyone is different. Have sex every other day before, during, and after ovulation. Every day doesn't allow enough time for the sperm to completely build back up. The number one thing is DON'T expect it to happen right away. It may, but for most healthy couples it can take up to a year or more to get pregnant. The less you stress about it and have fun, the easier you will get pregnant. Stress and worry about whether you are or aren't pregnant can affect your cycle. When it comes time for your period, don't take a test if you are only 2 or 3 days late. Regardless of what the box says on the test the pregnancy hormone hcg usually isn't built up enough to detect until you are 7-10 days late. My hubby and I decided not to use any kind of ovulation charting (such as taking your temp every morning) or any ovulation predictor kits for the first 6 months just to keep it more natural and less stressful. We got pregnant on month 6! You also want to make sure that you get in to your gynecologist for a check up, and just to discuss with him/her that you will be trying for a baby. They can give you any advice and education that you may need, and you want to make sure you are in good health. Hope this wasn't too long, and was helpful! Good luck.
