Sounds like you have some adware.
Try downloading The home of Spybot-S&D! (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html) and see if it helps.

I meant Ad-Aware 2007 - Reviews and free downloads at Download.com (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007-Free/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5) but both are good.
