I love my 2002 Sonota (hyundai) but since I vacuumed the carpet the engine check light has come on. I check the harness under the driver seat and all seems to be connected. Dealer turned it off once and it came back on. Can I do anything about it. Not confident in wasting a few hours off work with the dealer again.
All info would be greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of a code being set from a clean car! LOL
But more likely it's coincident with the cleaning. Did the dealer tell you what the code was?
Or did they just turn off the light? You have a right as the car's owner to know...

NO they didn't and to be honest I did not ask, because they did turn it off. He did tell me I needed to get a new battery. That was humbug beacuase I went elsewhere to have it load check and it was fine.

Thanks for your quick response. I was thinking maybe a short in the harness?! But it is constantly on and doesn/t flicker or anything like that. I will check for paperwork of service call... the code should be on there.
Again thank you
