Hi,

I've got a front-loading washing machine. The soap tray is in the front upper left-hand corner, like most machines.

Water is supplied to the tray, goes out the back and there is a tube going down into the machine from there.

Instead of going into the drum, the water goes directly out of the machine onto the floor.

Any ideas?

TIA

Sounds like the hose has come off or more than likely the hose is leaking. You will need to open unit up to verify problem

Thanks for the quick reply. I've never taken one of these things apart but I've rebuilt car engines, so.. .

In general, where are the screws so I can take the front of the machine off? Do I take the top off to access them?

TIA

Look and see if you have 2 screws near the bottom on the front panel. They need to be removed and swing the bottom of panel upwards to disconnect from the tabs. You should now be able to look at the hose

Thanks again!

But never 2 without 3.. .

There are 2 screws on either side of the filter - the only ones I see. I hesitated because they weren't at the extremities. Do these sound like the ones to you?

Open the door, you should see 4 screws. 2 on each side. They will have to be removed then gently twist/pull door outward. Can you see the hose from here or will you need to remove the top?

Would this be a neptune?

I'm in Paris, France! (An American living overseas)
The machine is a Candy JP39

Not familiar with that model. Must be made for export. Just look around the cabinet for the way to remove it. I think the door will have to be removed and probably screws behind it as well
