I am trying to find a movie about some viking or celtic type warriors chasing something, maybe a wolf, or maybe some kind of monster that ravaged their village... they ended up chasing it into a tunnel and they climb and climb through the tunnel and end up on our modern day world, maybe New York, that's the most I remember about it, it seems to have had a known main actor like tim robbins or beau bridges... not sure,
Eric the viking comes to mind, but I don't remember the beginning of the movie involving the climbing of the tunnel... I remember they were very scared that the tunnel lasted for miles and miles...
Can anyone help? Thanks
John

Maybe (slight chance) you're looking for "Time Bandits (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Bandits)" (1981) I haven't seen it in a long long time. But some of the actors are John Cleese (Monty Python, Harry Potter) Sean Connery (No introduction necessary), and Shelly Duval (Mother Goose Rock N' Rhymes, Faerie Tale Theater) there's a plot summary on the link.

The description sound familiar, maybe it's the Beastmaster 2.

Try The Navigator (http://imdb.com/title/tt0095709/).
It`s about a group fleeing the black death through a tunnel, and emerging in the present day. There is a monster, too.

I've never seen the French version but Jean Reno and Christian Clavier play the same characters in both films. The English version is actually called Just Visiting and didn't involve the climbing of a tunnel. If it was the French version I'm sure the asker would have specified the language of the film. But perhaps they saw both versions and were getting the two confused since they have the same characters played by the same actors in [almost] exactly the same story.

I've been thinking that it's The Navigators as Crowman suggested, but not all of the details match.

I'd really be interested in finding out what the movie is once we figure it out. I think I'd like to see it.
