Hey,
Im in high school, and I'm on the cheerleading squad for JV. Everything is going great, but there is just one problem.I can't DO MY BACKHAND SPRING! I think I'm afraid to jump back, or that I'm going to land on my head.I can do a Backbend no problem.Almost the whole squad can do one.. we have 4 peprallys and we just had one yesterday.. I think it would be great if I could do a backhand spring at at least one of the next three. So please help me!! Im beging you.. I really want it.. I also have no spots to base me.. So please HELP!
I WILL HIGHLY APPRECIATE IT!

I am not sure if your parents could afford it, or if there is a gym near you, but sign up for some tumbling classes. Having a spot and some mats will make you feel more comfortable. Congrats on making the team, and remember not everyone has to be able to tumble!!

You may suffer from unusually heavy feet! No, not likely, just keep working at it, get a good spotter and most importantly, learn good technique, if your coach can't show you, find someone who can! I broke my hand doing a sloppy back hand spring and it sucked, so don't do that!
Good luck.
