I have a dell insiron 1200 and I can not get it to charge any more I nowhat the problem is but I don't know how to get in to the computer to fix it or is it hard to do? Any adive would be great.:(

Did the battery just gradually last for shorter and shorter periods, and finally stop charging? If so, then you'll probably need a new battery.

If it just suddenly won't charge anymore, it could be a problem with the power cable, the little plug that it goes into in the laptop, or the motherboard, (or even the battery still).

If you've got the power on, and the battery out, try to juggle the power cable a little bit right by the back of the laptop. If it shuts down, then it's probably the little port on the laptop, or the power cord. If not, then probably the battery or motherboard.

The problem is that the place in the back of the computer where you plug the power cord into has worked loose and I was able to charge computer as long as cord was held a certain way but it will not charge any more no matter what is done. Thought it was the cord but but a new one.
