Hi there,
I am expected to write an article for a specific audience explaining why young people ARE NOT interested in apprenticeships.

But the thing is, I have no idea why young people AREN't interested in apprenticeships.
Could you please present some points to me.

Thanks

It's too bad you can't write a paper defending it because I really enjoyed my apprenticeship but perhaps I can give some feedback in the opposite spectrum.

Traditionally apprenticeships are a rather intimate experience as far as working with one or two other people, so you might not be able to get professional feedback from a wider range of peers. I would also think that most apprenticeships require some kind of payment with either you reciprocating the work you're learning or paying fees that would otherwise be minimal in a college or trade school setting. It also takes a lot of time and patience especially if you have a good master, which young people today might not be willing to invest.

I hope that helps. At least it gives you some idea to work with. Let me know what you think up. :)

Those are some excellent points.
Right now I can only think of the reasons young people like apprenticeships because your earning as your earning.
Some other points against it would be much appreciated.
Thank you for you help.
