I have been dating a girl for almost three months now and things are going pretty good its very casual and we don't take it very serious (dont say I love you all the time or spend every moment on the phone) and her birthday is coming up in about 5 days (she will be 17 and I already am 17). I have already decided that I'm going to get a group of our friends together and surprise her with a dinner before we go to the football game. My problem is what to buy her for her birthday. I was thinking about something in the $100 or less range but I just can't think of anything and jewlery is out of the question for various reasons. Please help if you have any ideas about what I should buy her or if you have any suggestions about things to do alone with her (picnic... ) maybe the next night once we are not with a group anything would be great

Thanks

Hmmm that's a hard one
What about a crystal or ornament maybe even a teddy?
I wouldn't have a clue on this one if I was a guy I know id buy jewlery

When I said jewelry was out the question I'm saying that because I'm saving it as a last resort.. I see it as impersonal and something that every guy gets a girl for her birthday, I was just looking for something original but thanks for your advice... anything is helpful!

Well what does she like? It's a little hard to whip out an awesome gift idea for someone that none of us knows anything about

I went to a girl's (good friend, not girlfriend) birthday party, and I brought her playdough. She's a real kid at heart. If we were dateing, I still would have gotten her the same thing. She would have liked it better. If your girlfriend is anything like my friends, any type of toys from when you were younger that are still fun.

FYI - I also 'wrapped' it in a shoebox covered with duct tape. The box had a hinge on one side, so I didn't tape it shut... just covered it in strips, all the way around. She loved it.

Also, DVD's are sometimes a good choice. If you can find a box set of her favorite show, that might be a good idea. I ended up getting three box sets for christmas from my friends, and I watch them all the time.

What about making her a build-a-bear in a theme or animal she likes (cheerleading for example)? Too cheesy? If a guy did that when I was 17 I'd probably pass out.

How about a great book of photographs or another subject you both enjoy? You could also send a gorgeous bouquet to her house as a surprise. :)

Ill tell u what that can't go wrong! Its something cheap and it worked for me. By her a bra or a undie - that has special colors and things.
Could be with hearts, or you dye it yourself and write your name all over it - though careful, it has to be special pen/marker that its for clothing
Or else it can cause cancer!
