How would you simplify this problem...

Tried everything but nothing works for me

You need to use difference of squares.

x-y = (\sqrt{x}-\sqrt{y})(\sqrt{x}+\sqrt{y})

I assume you're fine from there :)

What if it was the reciprocal of it and the + sign in the original equation was changed into a -

So it would look like this :

root(x)-root(y)/ x-y
