Live in Florida and had a huge storm last night. Power flickered out momentarily but that's not unusual. However, now the inside ac unit is working but the outside unit isn't and no cool air is coming in. Checked fuses and all OK. Is a residential unit only 3 years old. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Check the fuses at the diconnect at outside unit.Check the contactor in the outside unit. It will be where the wiring is coming into from the power source. Bet it's bad

Capacitor at outdoor unit may have failed as a result of power supply disruption while unit was operating. I typically get 5-10 service calls for this problem in the 1-3 days following a severe thunderstorm in my area. If terminal end of capacitor appears swollen (like a pop can that has frozen) or if fluid is leaking, it has failed and will require replacement.
