I am currently raising a Guide Dog Puppy who is 4 months old. In the beginning when I would take him for walks on the leash - he would love it.

As of late though - when I try to take him for a walk on the leash, his tail stops wagging, he looks to the ground and stubborning sits down. No matter how much coaxing or bribering I try - he won't budge. As soon as the leash comes off, he is back to his usual jovial self.

Nothing has happened to give him any bad experiences of walking on the leash and hence I cannot undestand what is going on.

Please Hekp !

Very good for you. Have you checked with the school? Each school does things a little differently, and likes their puppies done their way. To protect them from those I offend I never say just what school my family raises puppies for.

My Puppy Raisers' Manual suggests dropping back behind them and running past them in baby steps. I have found calling ''Go, go, go!'' in an excited voice will get the puppy moving.

He could be going through a fear stage. They often do at 4 months, and again at 10 months. Keep things positive if your puppy how fear, but don't inadvertently reward him with attention for showing fear.
