I'm sorry, I want to help you but let me try to get your question straight first.

U want to you if you can collect a debt in FL if you live in TX? Or If the collector is in FL and trying to collect a debt that you owe, when you're in TX. I will try to help you once I understand your question. Sorry

That is right I live in tx and the collector is in fl. In tx you have to have a bond to collect a debt that is the way I understand it. This collector isn't bonded here in tx that I can find is this collector legally able to collect on this debt here in tx. Sol is almost up on this debt and they went back up on the date with the cra.

If Texas law states that a Collection Agency needs to be licensed in Texas to collect on a debt from a Texas citizen, then they would need to have that license or work through a Texas firm.

However, they could file for a judgement in the state where the debt was incurred and obtain a judgement there that would be honored in other states.

My question is do you acknowledge this debt. If so, you have a legal and moral obligation to pay it.
