I am remodeling an old bathroom. My new plan includes a GFCI outllet at the sink and downstream an exhaust fan with integral light and nightlight, and a separate shower light. How is the switching typically set up? i.e. Both lights and fan on at the same time, or switched on individually? Also my panasonic fan unit does not have an electric eye to turn on at night off at day- can this be done at the switch?

You can set up three switches, one for the fan, one for the main light and one for the night light.

Broan use to include a 3 switch setup in their fan/lights, all rady with a plate labeled for each device. You can make one on your on using standard boxes, switches , and a plate.

You can get more elaborate by using time switches to turn your night light on and off automatically.

Thanks for the input- I was hoping that there was some hardware available that had an electric eye(on at night, off in day)in the switch, but your answer is what I wound up doing and it works fine. Thanks again,
