I can't find data for a 406 online. What year is the car?

Help us help you.

OK, here's a clue, me laddo. Run the temp up until it starts to get hot and the fans should be coming on.
Shut the motor off and feel the bottom radiator hose. Now touch the top one (quickly).
If the bottom one feels much cooler, then it's a stuck thermostat, or clogged radiator.
Give us a clue now. What's the year? Could be an electrical gremlin we'll need to look into.
