I am rebuilding a standing mower. I purchased a used 26 HP Briggs and Stratton engine. There are several wires that I need to connect. Does anyone know what the wires from the engine correspond to. How can I find out? Thanks

There will be a plug on the right hand side with a red and white, or white and black, or black and red wire, this can only hook up one way and has to do with charging and contains a diode. Then there may be just a single red wire that works the charging. Then on the left hand side , there may be the fuel solenoid ,or antifire switch , which everone you wish to call it wire(s), there will be one or two wires here. This is also a one way hook up. The one way hook ups correspond to the plugs that are attached to the mowers wiring harness.
