Hello,
This is my first time on the site, I just started a home based cleaning services business and need serious help and advice.
Can someone please tell me how to target office job (submit a bid)
How do Price for residential and commercial cleaning
I have been passing out flyers for months now and only have one steady client
I wanted to focus more on office cleaning, how do I submit or register my company's name on line for banks or other business to call me.
Please someone help me!

Please check out the answers on the following links and subsequent links that you will find. Some things will be repeats, and I am sure that there will be information that you already know. But, there are also other helpful answers. In my answers, I do stress the importance of advertising/promoting your business and how to go about it in many ways. By the way, advertising on the Internet doesn't have to cost you a cent. I outline how to do that in my answers. I have a number of small businesses that I do. Most of my business comes from people finding me on the Internet. You also might consider typing in the word Cleaning in the search box at the top of this page to find other helpful answers to questions that have been similar to yours.

As far as how to price, I would suggest calling other cleaning services and seeing how much they charge. It could be by the hour, number of rooms or even the square foot. You don't have to tell them anything about your also being a cleaner.

Around where I live, the general going price for cleaning in people's homes is around $11.00 per hour. I don't know what the going rate is around here for office cleaning. I suspect that it is similar to the rate for cleaning homes.

Wow $11! That is so low for a professional business. How do you pay for your expenses, gas, insurance, etc and then still make something at the end of the day to make it worth it for you. The national average is around $25-$40/hour. If you don't ask for it, you won't get it.

To get commercial accounts, you are going to have to go visit the manager or whoever is in charge of hiring the cleaners and sell yourself. You can send an intro package to them in the mail and follow up with a phone call and ask to do a free, no obligation estimate.

Good luck!
