Hi!

I have central electric heating and a heating pump for heating and cooling

I just bought a programmable thermostat (honeywell rth7000) to replace my existing robertshaw. But I have few questions
- on my robertshaw I have terminal 24v and 24v(c) I assume that is the samething as R and RC on my honeywell.

Do I have to use Heat pump terminal even if I have an electric system ?

Her is attachment with the picture of both one

The blue wire will go to "C" , the tan colored wire will go to "R" with a jumper to "RC"
The white with coloring on it will go to "Y", White will go to "W2", green will go to "G",
The yellow will go to "O"
Yes you do have to use the heat pump terminal.
R and RC are not the same as 24 and 24C
