what is molded case circuit breaker
Molded case circuit breaker is same as a air circuit breaker only change is in construction that it provided with a moulded casing that is made up of a moulded plastic having high resistance to current and also it reduce the weight of the circuit broker. The application of mccb for lower current rating as compar air circuit breaker or oil circuit breaker.

Molded case circuit breaker is a switching device capable of making, carrying, and breaking currents under normal circuit conditions, and also capable of making, carrying for specifiied times, and breaking currents under specified abnormal circuit conditions, such as those of a short circuit. Typically used for low voltage application. They are insulated in a molded case and requires a reset when tripped.
