I recently " inherited an R300 printer --- printing text /photos is OK my problem is I cannot work out how to print directly onto a disc i.e.. A downloaded film cd cover-when I open the downloaded cd cover and press print I get the message via the status monitor --CD/DVD guide is open Remove the CD/DVD tray then close the CD guide
Any advice would be appreciated thanks

The R300 comes with some software for printing directly to CD's... also they have to be a special CD, you can't just drop any CD in there and expect it to print to it. (Well, you can, but don't expect it to resemble anything remotely like what you're trying to print) If you're not using the software make sure you have the latest drivers installed. Also check to make sure that the media you're printing to is set to the disc and not paper.

What software are you using to print to the ?
I recommend Epson Print CD.
When you print, what are the software settings for the size, source and media type?
Unless you tell it that you are printing to a CD/DVD and are using the manual source it will not print to the disc.
