I am sorry about before about my previous post because I hadn't read the rules before posting and didn't know I had to post what I thought the answer was when asking a question.

I need help answering the following three questions:

1. What geological event explains the formation of the great lakes, the st. lawrence river system, the columbia-snake river system, and great slat lake? (I think the answer has to do with the ice age)

2. How did this same geological event isolate the human population of the Americas from that of Asia? (I can't answer this one until I get #1 answered)

3. Given the original geographical origins of the indian populations, in which direction did their earliest migrations across North America occur: from southeast to north and west, from southwest to north and east, or from northwest to south and east? (I think it is from southeast to north and west)

If you know that I have gotten these answers wrong I would appreciate it if you help me fix it). Thanks in advance for helping me.

Hi,

1. The Great Lakes (and multitude of lakes in Minnesota) were caused by receding glaciers.

3. It is generally accepted that the original NorthAmericas(Native AMericans)arrived from Asia through Alaska from Asia. They are thought to be the original inhabitants of Japan(mot the current Japanese)

Therefore, they moved from the northwest to the south and east(and through to South America).
