Well my period was suppose to start on the 12th of July but it never did so about 3 days after it was suppose to start, I stary getting dark brown bleeding plus some cramping. It lasted aobut a week and a half. It never really filled up the pad but I only saw it when I wiped or in the pad. Then I had some clots one day. About the 20th I have gotten actual bleeding and cramped for one day. It would be bright red but it was really then like regulat blood. Now today is the 1stof aug. And I am bleeding lightly. I have an itch with it... I guess cause hon long its been going on and my skin between my thighs are sore... I am having some discharge not too... can someone give me and idea what could be going on?

Are you on birth control? Taking any medications? Having unprotected sex?

The dark brown color of the blood means it is old blood. The color itself isn't usually anything to worry about. You sound like you are very irregular, but the itching sounds like you may have an infection of some sort. Are you having any other discharge besides the blood?

No meds or birth control and never unprotected... just that... its not a bad itching... just gets really itchy when I wipe after using the bathroom then it calms back down. I think I only had to regular periods since I stopped taking the depo in 05 and got my period back last summer.

Does it burn when you urinate? Because itching can actually be a symptom of a UTI.

I know how it goes with Depo. Evil stuff. It caused me to gain a LOT of weight, and made my periods so irregular I couldn't even keep track of them. It takes some people a long time for their periods to get back on track. I have heard of some women who have never had their period go back on track.

No burning... just some discharge and a little itch... NOw there is no more bleeding... I have had a UTI about a month ago and it wasn't like this... I really can afford to go to the doctor and the clinic doesn't have any appt. for 2 weeks... I am starting to be miserable feeling like this...

Okay, now that the bleeding is gone, what kind of discharge is it? Is it possible you could have a yeast infection? Is the discharge clumpy like "cottage cheese"? Does it have a not so pleasant odor?

Vaginal dryness can cause itching. This comes to mind especially because you said most of the itching is after you wipe. You might want to try putting a fragrance free moisturizer on it, or you can try Vagisil. Vagisil works great, and it takes the itch away long enough for you to stop scratching and any rawness can heal. :)

ITs kind of a yellow looking discharge... not clumpy at all... it itches when I don't get aired out. I know I'm getting freaked out more each day... its like mild torture because I can't get it taken care of fast enough...

I know you said you have never had unprotected sex, but condoms do allow infectious bacteria through. They decrease the risk, but they don't eliminate it. To me hun, it sounds like you might have an infection.

I know you said you can't afford to go to the doctor, but I really think you should. It is not good for your body to let an infection progress. Any kind of yellowish or greenish discharge is not good and usually indicates infection.

Is it yellow when it comes out? Or is it yellow after it dries? If it is a whitish color when it comes out, with an egg white consistency, it is probably ovulation :)
