A few months ago.. my friends' moms' boyfriend talked to me about weight lifting before puberty.. this was probably about 6 months ago. He said when he was a kid he did the same thing this bone stuck out (not alot) of his solerplexus. I've just turned 13 and am going through puberty and about a week ago I noticed the bone... so I stpped working out and its still here. I can't remember what he said the bone did or how to get rd of it. Does anyone have any information on this?

THanks
Nick

You may want to have your mom check with your doctor about This. My 2 son's doctor did not allow them to lift weights at 13. They were each 15 when they started lifting.

It could be a medical condition which affects 1 out of 300 people called pectus coronautum *I probably misspelled that* but that usually is apparent from birth.

Did you ever get an answer to your question? My 13 year old son just noticed the same thing and I am trying to find out what it is.
