In April of 2007, I found out I have a small cist on my left ovary. It doesn't seem to be too harmful, since all they have done is taken 2 ultrasounds and said it was about 2 centimeters. I don't think its too serious since they haven't suggested medication or surgery, but I was wondering if having it will cause any complications with pregnancy. Help if you can! Thanks

Ovarian cysts affect about 1 in 1000 pregnant women. The problem with these cysts in pregnancy is they can either rupture, or twist on themselves. You will know if something like this happens because it will cause significant pain.

As far as the baby goes, it can cause preterm labor if the cyst ruptures. 2 cm is fairly small, small enough that it may diminish on its own. Did they mention of it was benign? :)
