OK so my sis is 16 and we still share the same room because when I was a baby she would sneak in to my room and sleep under my crib. But when she talks about moving out of the room or even out of the house to go to college I get a nervous feeling in my stomach. How do I deal with it when she really does move out? And will I ever see her again is my biggest fear.:(

I have no doubt that you will see her again. You just might not see her as often. She is thinking about possible things in her future. This is normal. You just happen to be there to hear her think out loud. I would suggest telling her about the fears that you have and discussing this with her. I am sure that the two of you will have fun in the future sharing things with each other. But, the important thing right now is to talk with her about how you are feeling. Everyone has to face the fact of growing up and making the choices about their lives. It is a part of life. You will have to do the same thing.

You obviously are pretty close, and no matter where she moves to, I think you will always be close. I don't think she will be moving very soon, so enjoy each other as when we grow up we all leave at some point. What a sweet story, I wish you both luck.

You'll always be close to each other! Even if she moves, it might actually make the two of you bond even more. My brother and I shared a room... but now that we're adults, we're closer than ever. Same with my sisters... now that we're older, it just gets better between us.
Don't worry--you will always know how to find each other. :)

It's always hard for a close sibling to leave the house. When my brother and sister left for college I cried for a week because I missed them so much, but it gets better and we stay in contact and talk all the time. It's great that you've made a great relationship so early and you will have it for the rest of your lives!
