I have been convicted of 2 felonies - obtaining property by false pretenses - I am on probation and I have custody of my kids - my ex is trying to prove me unfit. Do the courts see me as unfit even though these were due to a business not personal legal problems?

That's for a judge to decide, but being convicted of a felony is not a very good testimonial.

Hello my:

I don't know. I've never heard of a felony that was due to business problems. If what you mean is that your business needed some stuff and you lied to get it, then I understand.

Look, I don't care if you think you're innocent. However, since you HAVE been convicted of a crime, no judge is going to buy into that “the business made me do it” crap.

A judge, who is judging the fitness of a parent who is a convicted felon, is going to want to see contrition instead of excuses. That's my take on it anyway. Sorry it wasn't sugar coated.
