I have a problem with my condensate line on my furnace. One year ago my 3/4" condensate line cracked and had to be replaced. I replaced it with a similar 3'4"pvc pipe which id piped to hang over my floor drain in my basement. I notice gurgling noise coming from the pipe. I checked with different people who were familiar with hvac and they told me I should have a trap in the line so I installed one. Although the line is below the drip pan in the furnace it would not drain and the condensate would drip out of the back of the furnace cabinet.
I run my furnace fan all the time and the AC is in cool so it comes on whenever the thermostat calls for it. I have a feeling there is a vapor lock problem because when I pulled the front cover off the furnace while it was running water streamed out. When I put a filter in it is soaked in just a few hours.
I have an electric furnace with an outdoor heat pump.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have a dip or sag in the condensate line ? This would make a double trap causing an air lock, do you have a vent on the leaving side of the trap ?

Thank you for answering my question. The line has 1 90 coming out of the furnace runs about 15" to another 90 turns down to another 90 turns left to a 90 to another 90 turns right to another 90 to the drain. I have the line coming out of the furnace on a small decline. I have removed the trap and I have no vent at all.
