I'm 19, 5ft and approx 130lbs. I used to be a size 8 /10 (uk) and I am now a 12. I am also on the depo injection which meant I gained quite a lot of weight along with being depressed. Anyway, all my life I've been picked on for either my height, weight, general look, clothing, being ugly (face) etc. this got better for a while and then when I went on the depo and ended up depressed it got worse. Now I'm te biggest I've ever been. I have large breasts so that doesn't really help. Anyway my problems are:

1. I'm constantly getting verbal abuse about the way I look by people down my street, and other people. This is everything from my height to saying I have saggy boobs to a large behind. Why are they saying these things?

2. I am trying to loose the weight and have been going to the gym and eating more healthily. However this is not working at all and I have lost no weight in about 6 month. Why can't I loose the weight?

I seriously can't stand the way I look and often end up in tears and feeling worse about it as I hear that other people are obviously laughing at me. I don't know what to do in order to look nice and loose the weight. Any tips? :(

Thanks

Peolple are just mean and you have to ignore it. As far as losing weight eat healthy and do a lot of cardio exercise about 40 minutes a day. Until you reach your ideal weight just wear clothes that fit your body type.

How do I know what type of clothing. I'm not very good at fashion. I bike for an hour every morning and have got large muscles on my legs but my thighs, behind, stomach are massive.

I would ask your doctor about a different birth control. When talking to the doctor about putting my daughter on the depo shot, he said that if she may gain weight. One of her girl friend's gained weight while using it also. So talk to your doctor. If you trying and the weight is not coming off the could be you problem.
As for those nasty bullys out there in life we just have to be stronger then them. I also am losing the weight. I was 4 ft 11in and 210lbs. I walk 2 miles when I can eat right plus the doctor has me on meds. I am now down to 175lbs. You can do it to.
Good Luck

Next time some one talks about you don't listen thoses people love to make you sad or mad. Don't let it bother you because really we are all equal and no one is better than anyone else. Just be happy and don't try to rush your weight loss take it slow and safe because you will keep it off better. I was picked on all my life to and one day I just stopped leting it get to me and told myself that they must not have anything better to do. When someone hates on you the truth is its because they have problems and try to bring others down as well. Be strong and Good Luck Because you are beautiful no matter what they say

Biking its generally not great for losing a decent amount of weight. I'd swap the biking for running or fast walking. You may see a difference there. I know for myself that whenever I biked I never lost it wasn't until I started running I saw any difference.

Its also important to mix up your cardio. Maybe run one day and go to a dance class another and go for a walk another day. You want to keep your body guessing at how hard its going to have to work.

And don't let anyone get to you - people need to shut their fat traps. I'd say something like I may be fat but I can lose weight and you clearly will never learn manners.

Thanks, I can't run at the minute as I have problems with my knees, however I would love to dance and kick boxing would either of these help? I walk a lot and I'm on my feet pretty much the whole time walking around while I work.

Kick boxing is a great way to build self esteem and calories! Go for it!

It is unreasonable to state that you are dieting and exercising and NOT losing weight. You are not being honest with us, or you are not being honest with yourself. BIG TIP: Calories that no one knows about but you STILL COUNT! You can eat carrot sticks all day at work and then home and secretly eat the pizza pie all night and guess what?? The secret pizza pie calories STILL COUNT! THEY STILL MAKE YOU FATTER! So, yes, hold your head up, but hold the food BACK! Really exercise. Sweat. Gasp for breath. (DO ALL OF THIS UNDER A DOCTOR's CARE!) and you will soon see the pounds drop. Weight is the result of a simple equation: Calories Consumed - Calories Burned. If you consume more than you burn, you will GAIN. If you burn more than you consume, you will LOSE. May the pounds drop fast. Paris Hilton, Patron Saint of Un-hot Women, Pray for her!
