Our Kenmore Washing doesn't seem to be agitating correctly. The base will turn but the agitator doesn't. I pulled it off and put it back on. Just to make sure it was seated correctly.
Any thoughts.

Have you separated it and looked at the dawgs. Sounds like they are broken or wore out. Remove the top, then the softner dispenser,then pry the cap off and you will see a bolt to take out then separate the 2 halfs and you will see them.

Now for the stupid question. What is a dawg, besides a nickname for a college football team.

It locks the 2 halfs together. And allows to lock in one direction. Should be 4 dawgs (or ears) I believe you can go to Appliance Parts from RepairClinic.com - HomePage (http://www.repairclinic.com) and pull up a diagram of your unit to see. They are not expensive or difficult to do
