I have a featherlite WEEDEATER brand weed eater, gas powered my question is...
How do you change the line on one of these babies?
It's a single line and I cannot figure out how to get the thingy off that holds the line to replace with line.
:o
So if anyone can help me I would be very grateful!:D
My yard is looking shaggy and would like to tidy her up:)
Thanks

Is the beginning of the line on like a 'notch' of some kind? You should be able to pull it out or cut it. There also should be arrows in the direction of how to feed the new line back in.

:o No knot, no line, no arrow, no nothing...
Just the thing that you bump on the ground to feed the line out when it gets too short.
Very confussing I know, but thanks!:D
 Still Confused,

The line has to be fed in some-how. There should be a way to open the casing that you bump on the ground.

There's got to be some way; like tabs that you push in, or perhaps the cap unscrews. I work with a weed-eater, and it has two tabs. I push them simultaneously, and the cover pops off.

There is a small hole in the shaft just above the head. Holes are usually round but some look like they are made to insert a screw driver head, because they are. Put a driver head or nail into this hole and you should be able to unscrew the black plastic head from the shaft. The spool will show you which direction to wind the line, its usually counterclockwise.
