Has anyone gained weight while on Lexapro?

Actually weight gain is not a side effect of Lexapro. Quite the opposite actually, anorexia (not anorexia nervosa, just lack of appitite) is one of the known side effects.

Lexapro does not make you gain weight it can however make it more difficult for you to loose weight

I will say this Lexapro is the cousin drug of Paxil. My husband was on Paxil for 4 years and gained over 80 pounds from it in 6 months. My husband than switched to Lexapro because of the weight gain but he hasn't been able to lose any weight being on the Lexapro either.

I just started on Lexapro about a month ago and worked my way up very slowly to 10 MG..
At first I didn't have much of an appitite but once I started taking the whole 10mg I noticed this weird hunger that can't be satisfied.. I' would eat a meal and normally would be full and satisfied, but now I eat a meal and still feel the hunger.. It's a really weird feeling.. I hope it goes away!!

It took Lexapro for about two months. It worked really well besides the fact that it made me sleep a lot more, but I'm a teenage girl, I love sleep. I didn't like the fact that I gained 6+ pounds. I didn't eat more or anything. Maybe a little superficial, but that's the reason I stopped taking it. I am now back down to 122.
