Exdetroit stated if I understood, even a felon with a passport cannot enter into canada. I am trying to understand how they woud know if you are only visiting? On the passport does it state you are a convicted felon?

Hello md:
No, it says nothing on your passport. The only way they could possibly know is if they have access to the United States NCIC computer system in Washington, DC.
I hate that they might not let me in their fine country, and I hate that MY government doesn't guard my privacy. However, I understand Canada wanting to know who is knocking at their door.
Damn computers.

Hi, just agreeing with excon, I worked for Canada Customs for 6 years, they just scan your passport, drivers license or whatever and get your criminal records for the US instantly, same goes for the other way, US agents can get Canadian criminal records just as fast.

Do you mean extradite?
Extradite- to deliver up ( a criminal ) to the authorities of the country from which they have come.
