I was put in a situation today where my friend told me that really likes me, as in, more than just a friend. I already have a boyfriend so basically, I was speechless when he told me. Now he's convinced that he said the wrong thing and doesn't deserve to speak to me anymore because what he told me wasn't "proper." He is a really great friend and I don't want us to stop talking just because of this incident and at the same time, I don't want our relationship to become anything more than just friends. What should I do?

Well, you could do one of the following:

1) Dump your boyfriend and run off to the Cayman Islands with your friend so he stops feeling ashamed of himself, or

2) Let him sort through his feelings on his own.

Now, either one is good (particularly if he already owns property in the Cayman Islands), but in case 1) doesn't pan out then you should just keep being his friend and let him work through it. Nothing you say or do is going to bring him instantly back to the friend you had before, but if you give it time eventually he'll come around.

One thing you should be careful of is that you don't lead him on. If you don't really like him that way and you're not willing to dump your boyfriend over him, make sure you don't do anything that will send him mixed signals. Remind him that you like him as a friend and you don't want to ruin the friendship.

Hello Karly.

Im sure he is kicking himself at this point but at the same time if he feels that strong about you he could have been ready to explode and that's why he told you how he feels.

Im not sure if the friendship will ever be the same because he Loves you and now that its out in the open it will be harder for him to act like he cares about how you and your boyfriend are doing. It's going to be harder for you to talk to him about your Love life as a friend knowing he wants to be your Lover.

All you can do is make sure he knows you still care and that you need him in your life. If he can't right now, let him have some time and see where it goes.

Finding him a Lady might help him get over you hehhee...

Good Luck

Unrequited love hurts so much. He will need time away from you if you don't feel the same.

Give the poor guy time to get over this disappointment without any pressure from you. You have to feel bad for him.
