My health is not good, I want to put my boyfriends name on the title to my house so that there will not be any problems if something happens to me. I don't have much money as far as getting a real estate attorney. My boyfriends credit isn't good at the moment, so I don't know if he would be able to get a new mortgage on my house if it was willed to him. I have no idea how much time I have left, but it is very important to me to make sure the house has his name on it too. Can you offer any advice? Thank you for any help! Sue

Hi Sue,
I highly recommend that you see an estate attorney and let him or her help you do this in a way that will be best for you. It will cost something, but it is worth the cost to get professional help with something this important.

Would it not be easier leaving the house to him in a will, should anything happen to you? I don't know how it works in the us, but I know in the uk to add someone to your mortgage, you have to re mortgage with that person, which is a lot of hassle. Good luck, and I hopeyour health improves.
