Hi
Im fitting a new downstairs toilet and utility room and was wondering if anyone out there could offer some advice.
Everything is going according to plan but the toilet, basin and washing machine plumbing is starting to give me a headache.
The new build is not on the wall with the soil stack so I was originally going to put in a saniflow system and pump the waste out under the adjoining kitchen floor, out the back wall and then boss it into the soil stack.
However I have been put off using this system because off:
a) The Price (I would need two Saniflo pumps, 1 for the toilet,1 for the utility room)
b) Reliability ( Apparently you have to be careful what gos in them, and with two small kids, they will be shoving everything from toilet paper to toy soldiers down there)
c) Not convinced about noise and style of them.
Anyway I'm starting to waffle, so ill get to the point.
Ive discovered there is about 18" clearance under my kitchen floor, and i think i could run a normal 4" waste pipe (with everything else tapped into it) diagonally for approx 4.5metres straight into the main soil stack. Ive worked out I could get a minimum of a 1/4" in 4" fall on the pipe. I might be tapping into the soil stack at ground level or just below but being as it joins on a diagonal I will have accsess to it in case it needs to be cleared.
Anyway I'm done
Would appreciate any advice, thanks for listening.
