So I take Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and was reading some info about it and noticed that it said you should not take it if you are pregnant (obviously!) because it causes birth defects. So then I started wondering, what if you are taking it and for some reason it doesn't work and you end up pregnant (as I have heard can happen with the low-dose birth control). Obviously you wouldn't know you are pregnant right away, so if you are still taking the pills until you find out, wouldn't that be dangerous?

Just a random thought.

There have been many people that have taken birth control while pregnant unknowingly and their babies have turned out healthy.

However hormones may alter a few things and here is why:

Hope this helped.
