What is channel as used in communication

Communication refers to any process used to get a message across,from one individual or group to another. On another view could be Communication is a process by which we exchange and create a flow of information.(Information is meaningful data) by which we create a shared understanding about a topic.An Effective communication happens only when the receiver understood the message sent to him.

What do you mean by effective listening?How does it differ from hearing?




Effective listening is an interpretive process.On the otherhand hearing is a process where user listen through all of his body,mind and concentration.Thus all these filters make use of the hearing and convert this to a meaningful,interesting and easy to understand mode.
On the otherhand hearing is just only the conversion of sound to humatic talking signal.It might be meaningful or unmeaningful.
